The University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) is hosting a visiting artist lecture featuring Rhett Tsai, an artist, researcher, and educator whose work explores interactive media, game engines, and the social, cultural, and technological contexts surrounding emerging technologies.

Based in Hangzhou, China, Tsai is a faculty member in the Open Media Department at the China Academy of Art. His interdisciplinary practice spans digital art, video, games, virtual worlds, and experimental media. His work has been presented internationally, and his 2026 projects include exhibitions, screenings, and media arts festivals in China, South Korea, Germany, and the United States.

The lecture will provide an opportunity to learn more about Tsai's creative practice, research, and approach to contemporary digital and interactive art.
